  • Ixchel Robles Ruiz

    Co-Founder & COO (R&D)

    Ixchel has 5+ years of research experience and a background in biomedical engineering. The first employee at Asclepii Inc., Ixchel was instrumental in realizing our partnership with the Tecnologico de Monterrey Institute. She is passionate about creating disruptive and socially conscious medical solutions.

  • Franco Kraiselburd

    Founder & CEO

    Franco has 8+ years of research experience in tissue regeneration and bioengineering starting as a teen at the University of São Paulo's Medical School. Franco championed Asclepii’s products, partnerships, and vision united in the passion for creating impactful and globally accessible medical devices. He has dedicated his life to improving the LatAm communities he grew up in, using his experience to translate solutions from laboratory to people.

  • William Tavel

    COO (Business Operations)

    William has 10+ years of experience conducting investor due diligence in consulting and for the World Bank (IFC) in a wide range of industries including healthcare services, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and specialty manufacturing & packaging. William has a background in engineering (CWRU) and an Master’s in engineering management (CWRU).

  • Daniel Katzman, MS

    Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board

    A former Venture Capitalist and Serial Biotech Entrepreneur, Daniel has a proven framework for success in guiding the business behind biotech entrepreneurs. Having led over 4 Biotech startups to different exits (including an IPO), Daniel now sits as the Chairman of Asclepii's Board. He serves as one of our biggest inspirations, mentors, and leaders.

  • Santiago Kraiselburd, PhD

    Co-Founder & President

    Santiago is the Vice Rector of Research of Tecnologico de Monterrey, in Mexico. A long-time professor, consultant, and startup executive, Santiago got his Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard University after an MBA at the University of Southern California. He quickly became interested in MedTech, having started 3 companies in the medical field and working as an Associate Partner at McKinsey and Company.


  • Miguel Fuentes Chandia, PhD

    Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer

    Miguel has worked with Biomaterials in the Regenerative Medicine field for over 20 years. With several international wound care patents (including one currently undergoing clinical trials), Miguel's creativity is unmatched. He is also an Associate Researcher at the Skeletal Research Center alongside Arnold Caplan and Franco Kraiselburd (CEO).

  • Victorina Fischenich, NP

    Chief Clinical Officer

    Vicki has 20+ years of clinical experience, with specialties in geriatric nursing and wound care. Vicki has supported numerous clinical trials in new product development, eventually leading to Clinical Affairs positions. She is passionate about supporting unique, innovative companies in the wound care market space.

  • Asís Martínez-Jerez, PhD

    CFO

    F. Asís Martínez-Jerez is an associate accountancy professor at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, recently recognized for his outstanding research contributions in the 2019. He has been recognized with a “Notable Contribution to Management Accounting Literature” Award from the American Accounting Association.

  • Kirsten Tysl

    Director of IP and Strategic Communications

    Kirsten has a background in chemical engineering and experience working in R&D in the pharmaceutical, polymer, and consumer goods industries. She has 5 years of experience in intellectual property prosecution, followed by working as an analyst and technical writer due diligence consultant

  • Lawrence Pratt

    Chief Regulatory Officer

    Lawrence has worked with numerous start-up businesses in Costa Rica, and as a consultant in sustainable finance and value chains.  He is a Professor at INCAE in Costa Rica in the area of business strategy, and previously directed INCAE’s think tanks.  INCAE is ranked by Financial Times as one of the top ten international business schools in the world. As the CEO of bioTD S.A. he brought several products successfully to U.S. FDA approval. 

  • Greg Bendewald

    Chief Contracting Officer

    Greg is an accomplished Program Manager and National security executive with broad expertise leading, planning, managing and supporting diverse high-profile organizations consisting of over 200 personnel; responsible for program management of budgets in excess of $26 million

  • Manuel Rocha Pereyra

    Director of Financial Operations

    Manuel is an Argentine international Student doing majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Science at Case Western Reserve University, set to graduate in May 2027. Manuel, or “Manu”, is on a journey to make an impact whether it is through Asclepii or a venture/job in the future.
